| In the morning visit the Junagarh Fort and museum. This fort was built by Raj Rai Singh in 1588. Later visit the Karni Mata temple at Deshnoke. This 17th century Karni Mata temple with massive silver gates and beautiful white marble carvings on the façade is dedicated to a 15th century female mystic Karniji, revered as an incarnation of Goddess Durga. Mice and rats, revered and fed with sweets and milk in the belief that they are incarnated saints, swarm over the temple around your bare feet. (Lalgarh Palace) |

| Day 14 Bikaner / Rohet |

After breakfast drive 160 miles to Rohet, a picturesque hamlet settled by the Bishnoi community on the outskirts of Jodhpur. At Rohet you are guests at the home of the descendants of the first rulers who sat on the Rohet throne. This afternoon enjoy a jeep safari to the Bishnoi villages where you will meet with tribesmen dedicated to the preservation of their natural habitat and social customs.(Rohet Garh) |

| Day 15 Rohet / Ranakpur / Udaipur |

After
breakfast drive 200 miles in 6 hours to Udaipur. En route stop at the secluded
Jain temple complex at Ranakpur and visit the famous Adinath temple. It
is a beautifully crafted marble edifice with 29 halls supported by 1444
pillars – no two of which are alike. Inspired by a dream of a celestial
vehicle, Dharna Shah is said to have commissioned the temple construction,
under the auspices and patronage of Rana Kumbha, the ruler of Mewar kingdom.
Arrive Udaipur and check-in to the Oberoi Udaivilas, a luxury resort built

| Set around the shimmering Pichola Lake and dominated by dramatic palaces, Udaipur's alleys and narrow streets lend it an almost medieval charm. Morning visit Udaipur's fascinating City Palace, molded in soft yellow stone, its windowless base crowned with ornate turrets and canopies. Part of the Palace is now a museum with its marble and granite walls laden with brilliant miniature paintings and decorated with colored glass and mirrors. | Day 17 Udaipur / Ahmedabad |

After breakfast drive 165 miles to Ahmedabad. In the evening visit Vishalla village, an authentic collection of traditionally decorated mud huts where potters and weavers demonstrate their skills. Also visit the Vechaar Utensils Museum. This museum has a very good collection of milking vessels, Rajasthani pottery, Hindu prayer lamps, jewel boxes, betel nut crackers etc. (Taj Residency Ummed) |

| Day 18 Ahmedabad / Modhera / Patan / Ahmedabad |

| Today drive 65 miles north of Ahmedabad to visit the 11th century Sun Temple at Modhera. This temple is an excellent example of Solanki temple architecture and has survived Muslim iconoclasm and the 19th century earthquakes. Continue drive to Patan, the 8th century capital of the Hindu kings of Gujarat. Patan is famous for beautifully carved Jain Temples and fine Patola silk saris produced by Ikat technique. Return to Ahmedabad en route visiting the Rani-Ka-Vav step-well. (Taj Residency Ummed) |
